What is Theatreworks?

Theatreworks' mission is: "To enrich the lives of ALL First Coast Children by exposing them to quality theatre and the arts."

Since 1979, Theatreworks, Inc. has filled a need for educational theatre in our community by providing the best national and international touring theatre available to school age children in a seven-county area.

Children are the future audiences for the arts on the First Coast, and it is our goal to educate and inspire them. Theatreworks chooses productions that are culturally relevant and artistically appealing to the young population it serves, and offers the programs at affordable prices. It recognizes that the accessibility and availability of performing arts for children should be an important part of the cultural fabric of their lives. Performances are included that foster new ideas about the theatre and hopefully new ways for these young people to view the world.
